Edit URL in Search Bar - September 28, 2026

• Shift+Enter copies a result URL into the search bar (New Tab, Search History, and Search Bookmarks) so it can be edited before opening
• Pasting or typing a URL labels the first item Open URL (Enter opens it). In Search History and Search Bookmarks that row only appears when the text looks like a URL, so a normal query still opens the top match
• Bare localhost and IPv4 targets open over HTTP

Windows Launch Fixes - September 21, 2026

• Added an Open in New Window action on Windows (New Tab, Search History, and Search Bookmarks) with Ctrl+Enter
• Empty destinations open about:newtab in the new window
• Opening URLs on Windows now finds Firefox under %LOCALAPPDATA% (per-user / non-Program Files installs)
• Windows never spawns an unverified firefox.exe from PATH; if no known install path exists, an actionable error is shown for every variant including Release

Live Bookmarks & Search Fixes - September 12, 2026

• Search Bookmarks now reads live from moz_bookmarks in places.sqlite instead of the daily bookmarkbackups lz4 file, so new bookmarks show up immediately
• Search History hides redirect artifacts (hidden = 0) and entries that were never visited
• Search History and Search Bookmarks match the query against the URL as well as the title
• Fixed history entries being grouped under the wrong day when the UTC and local dates differ
• Tag assignments are excluded from Search Bookmarks, so tagged URLs no longer appear once per tag
• Search terms containing a single quote no longer break the SQL query, and % / _ are matched literally instead of acting as wildcards
• Removed the built-in lz4 decoder and the "no bookmarks" error view, which are no longer needed

Windows Support - September 9, 2026

• Added Windows support for all three commands: New Tab, Search History, Search Bookmarks
• Firefox profile directory is resolved from %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles on Windows
• URLs and new tabs are opened by spawning the Firefox executable directly via child_process.spawn on Windows
• All Firefox variants (Firefox, Firefox Nightly, Firefox ESR, Firefox Developer Edition) are supported on Windows via known install path detection with automatic fallback to PATH for release Firefox
• Non-release variants (Firefox Nightly, Firefox ESR, Firefox Developer Edition) no longer silently fall back to launching release Firefox when not detected at their known install location; an actionable error is shown instead
• "Install with Winget" action replaces "Install with Homebrew" when Firefox is not detected on Windows, with a longer timeout to accommodate the install
